The Provincial Telecommunications Inspection Headquarters (JPIT) are public offices based in all provincial capitals of the national territory and in the cities in Ceuta and Melilla. Organically, the JPITs depend on the General Secretariat for Telecommunications and Audiovisual Communication Services and functionally on the Sub-Directorate General for Telecommunications and Digital Infrastructure Inspection, which is responsible for their coordination.
In these offices citizens, as regards their status as users of telecommunication services, can receive attention and obtain information on matters falling within the competence of the General Secretariat for Telecommunications and Audiovisual Communication Services, and in particular on their rights and obligations relating to the provision of public service and universal service.
Likewise, they can receive advice on how to submit their claims in writing to the Telecommunications User Service unit, once the prior claim has been exhausted before their operator. Citizens can direct their inquiries to the Headquarters in person, through postal mail, telephone, email.
They can also be presented directly at the Office of Telecommunications User Support.
