This paper discusses the analysis of the perception of Spaniards regarding different public policies and services and their evolution in recent years. In particular, this year of austerity examines the importance that citizens attach to public services and the degree of satisfaction with a wide range of sectoral policies and services.
As in other years, the views and habits of citizens regarding public services of an administrative nature and with e-government are also discussed in detail. Finally, in order to propose improvements, citizens' attitudes towards the important complaints and suggestions program are detailed.
Firstly, it should be noted that citizens attach increasing importance to public services, regardless of the group to which they belong according to their gender, age, nationality, ideology or level of education, as might be expected in a context of crisis. This growing awareness of public services is probably the one that, in the current situation, makes them more sensitive than before in terms of their quality.
On the other hand, and unlike sectoral policies and services, citizens evaluate their contacts with offices very positively.
