Support for broadband deployment
For the delimitation of the areas of action of the aid of the call for 2013, it was submitted to public consultation, open to all interested parties (operators, public administrations and other agents), the relations of population entities that according to the information available in the Secretariat of State for the Information Society and the Digital Agenda did not meet the eligibility criteria established for each line of action. With the information provided in response to this consultation, the relationships of excluded population entities were consolidated, the rest being considered eligible, being therefore eligible to be selected as an area of action of a project of any operator that opts for aid.
In this consultation, the operators were also requested to participate in the call, infrastructure information that they owned or controlled in the areas of operation, which could be used in projects that could benefit from the aid of the announcementin order to make this information available to all candidates.
El 5 de julio de 2013 se publicó en el BOE la Resolution of Call for the New Generation Broadband Extension Program for 2013. The following seven autonomous communities with FEDER funding have been established as preferential action areas: Andalusia, Asturias, Canary Islands, Castilla-La Mancha, Extremadura, Galicia and Murcia, and in each of them, the projects aimed at business industrial parks.
Forty-one applications were submitted for the implementation of 15 other projects by operators. Once processed and evaluated, they have been solved favourably 29 of them, belonging to 29 projects (25 of line A and 4 of line C) presented by 8 operators that total eligible investments of 36,496,067 euros, with grants of 4,752,441 euros in the form of grants and 31,687,721 euros in repayable loans.
