The Annual Telecommunications Inspection Plan (PAIT) contains the actions to be carried out each year in order to verify that the activity carried out by the different agents in the field of telecommunications conforms to the provisions of the regulation. If, as a result of these actions, breaches constituting infringements established in the General Telecommunications Law are proven, the corresponding sanctioning file will be initiated.
These actions are intended to improve the functioning of telecommunication services, increase the usefulness in the provision of these services and improve the experience perceived by users.
The ITAP provides for the conduct of ex officio inspections selected through sampling based on objective criteria previously established in the Plan, and is part of the strategic plans of the General Directorate of Telecommunications and Audiovisual Communication Services.
