Support for broadband deployment
For the delimitation of the areas of action related to this call, the relations of population entities that according to the information available in the Secretariat of State for the Information Society and the Digital Agenda did not meet the criteria of eligibility established for each line of action were submitted to public consultation, open to all interested parties (operators, public administrations and other agents).
On this occasion, the public consultation was carried out in two phases in order to make it possible for the first phase interested operators could facilitate the list of possible eligible areas within the population entities that already have or plan to have New Generation Networks (NGA) coverage in other parts of it. These areas, once subjected to the second phase From the consultation, they went, where appropriate, to the definitive consideration of eligible areas and, therefore, eligible to be selected as an area of action of a project of any operator opting for aid.
On April 25, 2014, the Resolution of the Call for the Next Generation Broadband Extension Program for 2014.
A total of 91 applications were submitted for the implementation of projects by 36 operators. Once processed and evaluated, 64 of them, belonging to 64 projects (38 of line A, 15 of line B and 11 of line C) presented by 29 operators have been resolved favourably. They total eligible investments of EUR 52,554,893, with grants of EUR 6,950,752 in grants and EUR 45,022,716 in repayable loans.
