They are those accesses that require a connection by means of a cable to the user's terminal, so the user's location is relatively fixed. This is the case for most domestic broadband services.
These accesses can be based on the following technologies:
xDSL
It is the family of technologies commonly known as "ADSL" and that provide broadband Internet access through the traditional telephone network, i.e. through copper pair cables. Although these networks are very common, they have limits in terms of maximum speed and coverage distance, so they are being progressively replaced by fibre-optic based networks with better characteristics for high-speed and long-distance data transmission.
See more information about xDSL .
Cable or HFC
Estas tecnologías se basan en cables coaxiales para proveer acceso a Internet. In Spain these networks are not exclusively composed of coaxial cables but also use optical fiber in their trunk sections, so they are known as hybrid fiber optic and cable networks (HFCs).

Optical fiber to the home
Estas tecnologías se basan exclusivamente en fibra óptica para ofrecer acceso a Internet. They are the fastest networks due to the large capacity of the optical fiber to transmit data and are gradually replacing traditional accesses based on copper cables.
