During the health emergency caused by COVID-19, a rumour is spreading in some countries that attributes to 5G networks the ability to spread the virus. However, there is no scientific evidence to link 5G telecommunications networks with the spread of the coronavirus, as the World Health Organization itself recalls, which has published a note describing this information as a “hoax” and remembering that viruses cannot travel through frequency bands or any technological infrastructure.
