Telecommunications Inspection
The Ministry of Digital Transformation has the exclusive competence to carry out the telecommunications inspection in the following areas:
- Inspection and control of radio installations.
- Technical recognition of the facilities prior to commissioning.
- The control of the use of the public radio domain.
- The location, identification and elimination of harmful interferences.
- The measurement and control of exposure levels to radio emissions.
- The inspection of services and telecommunications networks.
- The control of quality levels in the operation of networks and provision of electronic communications services.
- The surveillance of the telecommunication equipment market.
The officials assigned to the Secretariat of State for Digital Advancement, in the exercise of their inspection functions in the field of telecommunications, are considered to be public authorities. These officials have an identification card that accredits them as telecommunication inspectors.
All persons, natural or legal, involved in or supporting electronic communications activities, directly or indirectly, are obliged to cooperate with the telecommunications inspection, to make available to them the information, documentation and equipment required of them, to facilitate the access of telecommunications inspectors to their facilities, and to submit to their inspections.
