The obligations regarding information and communication relating to the European Funds in the 2014-2020 programming period are included in the Regulation (EU) No 1303/2013, specifically in:
- Chapter II, “Information and communication”, of Title III, “Monitoring, evaluation, information and communication”, of Part Three, “General provisions applicable to the ERDF, ESF and Cohesion Fund”
- Annex XII. Information and communication on support from the Funds, as well as Implementing Regulation (EU) No 821/2014, in Chapter 2 and Annex II.
In this context, the “Communication Strategy of the Operational Program for Smart Growth” has been defined for the 2014-2020 programming period, Operational Program that was integrated, in the Multiregional Operational Program of Spain (POPE) ERDF 2014-2020.
SETELECO, as the Intermediate Body of the POPE for the 2014-2020 programming period, is responsible for the implementation of the aforementioned Communication Strategy and compliance with European Union regulations on information and communication, within the scope of its competences.

One of the obligations deriving from the implementation of the POPE Communication Strategy is the identification of Good Practices of co-financed actions. Good practices are collected in one database of the Directorate-General for European Funds.
