Information about digital sound broadcasting (RD)
The utilization note UN-96 of the National Frequency Allocation Table (CNAF) establishes that the frequency band 195 to 223 MHz will be used exclusively by entities authorized to provide terrestrial digital sound broadcasting services, and always in accordance with the National Technical Plan:
National Technical Plan for Digital Terrestrial Sound Broadcasting, approved by Royal Decree 1287/1999, of 23 July (BOE No 177, of 26 July 1999), and supplemented by Order of 15 October 2001 (Official State Gazette No. 266 of 6 November 2001)), and subsequently amended by Royal Decree 776/2006, of 23 June (BOE No. 150, of 24 June 2006), the Royal Decree 802/2011 of 10 June (Official State Gazette No. 153 of 28 June 2011)) and the Royal Decree 391/2019, of June 21 (BOE nº151, of June 25, 2019).
Enabled entities
The entities authorized for the provision of digital sound broadcasting services (service license) are:
- The Corporation of Spanish Radio and Television, S.A., through the Sociedad Mercantil Estado Radio Nacional de España (RNE).
- Natural or legal persons by license granted by the State for their exploitation in the State coverage networks.
- The Public Entities of the Autonomous Communities authorized to provide the digital radio service.
- Natural or legal persons by license granted by the competent bodies of the Autonomous Communities for their exploitation in the regional territorial coverage networks.
- Natural or legal persons by license granted by the competent bodies of the Autonomous Communities for their exploitation in a demarcation of local coverage.
