Trusted Electronic Services
The development of the Information Society and the dissemination of the positive effects in terms of competitiveness that derive from it, requires the generalization of the confidence of citizens, companies and Administrations, in telematic communications.
Furthermore, in order to make progress in key areas of the digital economy and given the need to create a digital single market within the European Union, it is necessary to facilitate the cross-border use of public and private online services, e-business and e-commerce.
In this sense, trusted electronic services are the fundamental element to achieve the improvement of information security and trust generation, since it allows a verification of the identity of the origin and integrity of the messages exchanged on the Internet.
