There are two types of authentic copies depending on the way they are applied for (Art. 27.4 of Law 39/2015, of 1 October):
- Departure: these are copies of documents which have been validly issued by the public administrations. It shall be the body which issued the original document, as a general rule, that has to issue them.
- At the outset: these are copies by the staff of the OAMR of original documents or other authentic copies submitted by the persons concerned and to be incorporated into an administrative file. Art. 40.3 (d) of Royal Decree 203/2021, of 30 March, points out this role among those developed by the OAMR and adds that this incorporation into an administrative file will be through that office in the corresponding electronic register.
