Telecommunication equipment

The commercialization of telecommunication equipment in Spain requires compliance with the legislation in force. In particular, it is essential that the manufacturer of the equipment has assessed conformity with the essential requirements laid down in the following Directives:

• For radio telecommunication equipment, the Directive 2014/53/EU (RED Directive) and its transposition in Spain through the Royal Decree 188/2016, of 6 May.
• For non-radio telecommunication equipment, the Directive 2014/30/EU (EMC Directive) and its transposition in Spain through the Royal Decree 186/2016, of 6 May.

The above rules are exclusive. That is, if the RED Directive does not apply the EMC Directive to a team and vice versa.

Compliance with these rules is additional to any other that may be established.
