Professional experience
She has held, among others, the following positions: Deputy Director General for Human Resources of the Ministry of Science and Technology, Deputy Director of the Institute of Tourism Studies, Advisory Member for Monitoring and Evaluation of Social Programmes of the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs, Deputy Director General of Spanish Literature, Culture Adviser in the Cabinet of the Presidency of the Government or Parliamentary Adviser in the Cabinet of the Minister of Culture.
She was an adviser in the Cabinet of the Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Culture and Sport where, among other tasks, she coordinated the work of the Observatory of Gender Equality in the field of Culture.
Between 2004 and 2024 she served as undersecretary of the Ministry of Health and Social Policy, and of the Ministry of Health and Consumption; general secretary for Public Administration in the Ministry of Public Administrations; general director of Human Resources and Economic-Budgetary Services of the Ministry of Health and Consumption and director of the National Institute of Public Administration. Until her appointment as Secretary of State for Public Service, she was the Assistant Secretary for Digital and Public Service Transformation (November 2024-October 2025)
She is co-author of different publications related to public administration such as “The Case Method in the Training of Public Managers” and “Strategic Planning as a Public Management Method: Experiences in the Spanish Administration”.
