The Ministry of Energy, Tourism and Digital Agenda, as responsible for the policies of Digital Agenda, is entrusted with the promotion and development of society and the digital economy in Spain. There is widespread consensus on the importance of digital transformation to improve a country’s well-being, and that public administrations, together with companies, must act to manage the challenges posed by digitalization. Its positive impact is noticeable in general productivity; in the efficiency and effectiveness of companies and public administrations; in a broader offer of services and products; in greater competition that is usually translated into better prices; and in the creation of new services and new communication channels that allow the improvement of the living conditions of citizens.
To achieve this, the Ministry will develop a new Digital Strategy for an Intelligent Spain, which, based on the results obtained in the current Digital Agenda for Spain, will update its content and address the new challenges that have appeared in recent years.
