The new study on the ageing of the workforce has been published in the General Administration of the State 2022 and its future projection to 2032.

This new study places its employees in an average age of 51'32 years, with 64'1% of their staff over 50 years, highlighting the problem of aging in this group, although for the second consecutive year a slight reduction has been achieved that reinforces the assumption of a change of trend.

According to the evolution of dismissals in the General Administration of the State (AGE) for career and permanent staff, the ten-year trend projections reflect a massive loss of staff, with 58.61 per cent of the current retired staff (97,027 personnel). In contrast, 68,520 (41.39 per cent), 59,653 career staff and 8,867 workforce will remain active.

The above forecasts provide an approximate approximation of the possible movement of troops based on their past behaviour, so the results of this should be taken with caution as an estimate.
