The Spanish Chamber of Commerce, through the Chamber of Commerce of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, in collaboration with the General Directorate of Public Governance, held a meeting on 30 October so that Tinerfeñas companies can transfer technicians from the General Directorate of Public Governance the bureaucratic obstacles they face in the management of the paperwork related to the energy field, fight against climate change, among others.
This action is part of the agreement signed by the Spanish Chamber and the Ministry of Territorial Policy and Civil Service, which foresees that, during the year 2020, there will be technical workshops with companies on the administrative procedure in the fields indicated. A total of fifteen companies attended this meeting and the participation was both face-to-face and telematics.
The meeting was chaired by the President of the House, who stressed the need to simplify the administrative procedures faced by companies and which limit their investment and competitiveness capacity, especially in the context of the pandemic, where companies need more than ever the greatest possible agility to safeguard their business.
Companies from Spain in the energy, recycling, industrial sector and environmental consultants sector have also participated in the technical meeting, in order to transfer to the Ministry the problems they face, as well as the specific procedures that can be simplified or eliminated.
The Directorate-General for Public Governance will forward the proposals to the management centres of each subject for evaluation and possible implementation to try to streamline the existing bureaucracy in carrying out business projects.
These meetings constitute a meeting point between the General Government of the State and employers to move towards administrative simplification, with particular attention to SMEs. It is a question of setting up a forum in which companies are aware of the actions being carried out since the AGE and the various institutions in terms of reducing administrative burdens and improving regulation, and at the same time, they can demonstrate the obstacles they encounter and which hinder their competitiveness.
