The General Administration of the State agrees with UGT and CSIF on the new professional classification of labour

29/09/2020

The Director-General of the Civil Service, Isabel Borrel, signed on 28 September, within the Joint Commission of the IV Single Convention of the General Government of the State, the agreement setting the workforce in the new professional classification derived from that collective agreement. The new framework will apply to the more than 34,000 employees and public employees of the General Government of the State.

The IV Convention establishes an updated professional classification according to the current educational system and the National System of Professional Qualifications, equating the AGE workforce with the rest of the labor market, without prejudice, if necessary, to the creation of the families and specialties required for the proper performance of the tasks entrusted to the AGE workforce.

The new professional classification represents for AGE a determined commitment to the professionalization of the workforce and will advance in the management of work and in the provision of higher quality public services.

Each professional group of the III Convention has a new professional group in the IV Convention, which will be determined by the specific specialty to be performed, depending on whether it is coincident or not with a certain level of qualification, according to the Educational System and the National System of Professional Qualifications. In this way and in general, each job has been classified by assigning it a professional group, professional family and/or specialty.
