The State Secretariat for Telecommunications and Digital Infrastructure submits for consultation to all interested parties (Operators, Public Administrations, National Commission for Markets and Competition and other agents) the draft Ordinance establishing the new regulatory bases for the granting of aid for the realization of projects of the UNICO-Broadband Programme within the framework of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan, financed by the European Union –NextGenerationEU.
In addition, the results of the detailed study of the coverage of existing ultra-fast broadband networks or with credible plans for their provision in the next three years are submitted to all interested parties (Operators, Public Administrations, National Commission of Markets and Competition and other agents), which is specified in the preliminary identification of areas where there is no broadband coverage that provides the user with more than 100 Mbps of download under conditions of maximum demand.
The objective of the consultation is to consolidate this preliminary identification in order to obtain the definitive map of the areas in which, according to the State aid regulations, it is possible to grant public aid during the next twelve months for the realization of projects of extension of the coverage of ultra-fast broadband networks to connect homes and socio-economic engines.
To facilitate the location and analysis of the zones, files of geographical layers are provided in shape and filegdb format that make it possible to process any georeferenced information system (GIS). Likewise, a cartographic viewer is available in the following link.
