This week the YouTube channel of the Ministry of Finance and Public Service, #Public Talent, presents us to Laura Oliuno, from the Higher Body of Social Security Technicians, framed within the Professional Group A1 of the General Administration of the State. Link the video.

Laura is currently Head of Section of Minimum Vital Income in the Provincial Direction of Toledo, in the Ministry of Inclusion, Social Security and Migration and tells us about the tasks of the Higher Body of Technicians of the Social Security Administration, which exercises managerial and technical advisory competences within the Social Security Administration: such as direction, coordination, study and proposals in social security.

Also among the tasks exercised by this body is the design and implementation of the procedures for the management of the recognition, maintenance and control of the right to benefits and pensions of the different Social Security System Schemes, as well as the study and preparation of reports and legal criteria in the area of affiliation, contribution and tax management.

On the other hand, they are responsible for the management of the Social Security care and information centers, as well as the different services and organizational areas integrated in both the Provincial Directorates and the Central Services of the Social Security Entities.

The Social Security system has been one of the main factors for social cohesion and economic stability in Europe and Spain in the last fifty years. In this sense, technicians have a great deal to do in defining the future of such an inspiring and fundamental organization as Social Security.
