The Ministry of Finance and Public Service has signed an agreement with the National Agency for Quality Assessment and Accreditation, attached to the Ministry of Universities (ANECA) to launch a seal of employability in the Spanish universities, with which the levels of employment generated by each center will be credited.
This initiative, promoted by the State Secretariat of Public Service, will recognize the actions implemented to improve the employability of students, as well as being an element of impetus for those universities that do not have this objective among their purposes.
It is expected that this initiative, to which CEOE and Trade Union Organisations have joined, will have a high impact due to the prestige of the label, which will work through an external evaluation of the skills and competences of students who graduate in various fields.
For their part, universities must meet various requirements to achieve recognition, such as strategic and institutional aspects, the definition and achievement of the graduation profile, the orientation of students, intermediation with employment or attention to the needs of society. In addition, universities should participate in recruitment actions aimed at female and male students in their professional future.
The implementation of the seal will allow the State Secretariat of Public Service to continue with the development of its Talent Recruitment Plan of the General Administration of the State, which since 2019 has carried out a total of 256 direct actions, of which 155 days have been held in universities, 38 in professional training centers, 35 have been participations in job fairs and 28 in other conferences.
