As of today, 20 June, pharmacies throughout the autonomous community of Riojana will supply medicines through the electronic prescription system to all mutualists attached to the agreed option.
La Rioja joins Asturias, Canary Islands, Cantabria and Extremadura in the implementation of this system. The launch was announced in May, following the technical meeting held with the General Council of Pharmacists, La Rioja College of Pharmacists, College of Physicians and Concerted Bodies.
The autonomous community of Riojana adds 6,563 mutualists who have chosen a concerted option, and together with those of Asturias, Cantabria, the Canary Islands and Extremadura will be a total of 118,275 mutualists who have chosen a concerted option and will enjoy their advantages.
The implementation of the concerted electronic prescription is gradual and progressive and its effective functioning depends on many actors, so the maximum involvement of all, including mutualists, who must demand this service as soon as its effective functioning in each community occurs.
