The National Police is an armed institute of a civil nature, with a hierarchical structure whose mission is to protect the free exercise of rights and freedoms and to guarantee citizen security, with scope throughout the national territory.

Today, María José Cabrera, National Police, is presented in the Superior Police Headquarters, Provincial Delegation for Citizen Participation.

"Citizen participation" is a prevention unit where five plans are complemented: Plan director, with informative talks in educational centers; Plan Mayor, which is developed in residences and the elderly; Plan Turismo, focused on prevention and focused on hotels and tourists; Plan Collective, focused on other groups that exist in the city; and finally, the plan Hate crimes.

All these plans are focused on the prevention of crimes against citizenship.
