Since 4 April, the electronic prescription has been activated for the 34,536 mutualists resident in Asturias benefiting from the agreed option. The Principality joins Cantabria in the implementation of this system which will extend to the rest of the autonomous communities.
The development and implementation of this electronic prescription project of MUFACE is the result of the joint work of MUFACE, the General Council of Official Pharmaceutical Colleges (CGCOF) and the Official College of Pharmacists of Asturias.
Asturias thus joins Cantabria in the incorporation of the concerted electronic recipe. Since its inception in May 2020, a total of 297,003 prescriptions have been made to MUFACE mutualists who have opted for concerted healthcare. As far as the mutualist collective benefiting from the public option is concerned, it is active in all the autonomous communities, except in Ceuta and Melilla, and is interoperable in 15 autonomous communities, benefiting from it a total of 383,328 mutualists.
It is expected that the concerted electronic prescription of MUFACE will soon be announced how and where it will be extended to become a reality in the rest of the autonomous communities.
