At its meeting on 8 March 2022, the Council of Ministers adopted an institutional declaration on the occasion of International Women’s Day.

With this institutional declaration, the Government of Spain shows its firm commitment to the promotion and protection of the rights of women and girls, real and effective equality between women and men, as well as to public policies that resolve the material, symbolic and valuable inequalities faced by women.
