Newsletter on public service news for the months of July and August 2021

Last September 17, the current public service newsletter for the month of July and August 2021 was published.

The most notable news in this issue has been the publication of the appointment of the new Secretary of State for Civil Service. Following the restructuring of the ministerial departments and the creation of the Ministry of Finance and Public Service, the Council of Ministers of 27 July 2021 approved the appointment of Lidia Sánchez Milan as head of the new State Secretariat of Public Service.

Another noteworthy issue has been the government’s approval of a historical Public Employment Offer for 2021, with a total of 23,491 places.

In addition, the Resolution of the Secretary of State for Public Service on the review of measures against COVID-19 to be adopted by the General Administration of the State in the face of the evolution of the health crisis and the progress of vaccination has been published.

On the other hand, the call for selective processes for access to the labour force of the General Government of the State within the scope of the IV Single Convention is reported.

Alongside this, relevant actions have been included within the Directorate-General for Civil Service, Directorate-General for Public Governance, MUFACE, INAP and at international level.
