The Minister for Territorial Policy and Civil Service renewed commitment to these organisations following the recent signing of the conventions for the identification and elimination of administrative burdens.
The aim of the meeting held yesterday, 7 June, was to make progress on issues such as improving e-government, reducing the documentation requested in the proceedings, facilitating the interconnection between the various ministerial departments, improving the information available on the websites of certain agencies, facilitating the completion of forms or developing information campaigns on topics of general interest, both for companies and citizens.
This reaffirms the commitment of the Government of Spain to simplifying and reducing administrative burdens in order to make the structures of public administrations more flexible and overcome the difficulties that citizens and businesses may encounter with the public sector.
The European Union and the OECD recommend that states improve the reduction of forms and declarations and encourage the simplification of administrative and regulatory procedures. Also the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), with which UN member states are committed, promote the creation of effective institutions that are accountable, as well as ensure the adoption at all levels of inclusive, participatory and representative decisions that respond to the needs of society.
