Spain joins the “OECD Declaration on Public Sector Innovation”

The Ministry of Territorial Policy and Civil Service, together with the Permanent Representation of Spain to the OECD, has made the accession of Spain to the United Nations a reality Declaration on Public Sector Innovation an instrument designed to promote innovation and public sector management. In addition, it will act as a lever in improving our public administrations and a stimulus for their public employees and employees.

The objective of the Declaration is to legitimize innovation as a central and strategic objective of public sector organizations, as well as its use in the daily work of public servants, understanding innovation as the implementation of something new to achieve an impact.

The Ministry of Territorial Policy and Civil Service, as responsible for promoting innovation in the Framework of Programmes for the Improvement of the Quality of Public Administrations, through the General Directorate of Public Governance, welcomes the commitments set out in this declaration and takes it as a reference element in its plans to relaunch and transform the public administration, with the aim of offering the best service to citizens.
