Today, May 4, the Official State Gazette published the Resolution of April 26, 2021, appointing career officials of the Optional Corps of Archiveros, Librarians and Archaeologists.

It is a special body of the General Administration of the State attached to the Ministry of Culture and Sport of Group A1. The functions of the archives have a dual dimension: on the one hand, to preserve, protect and disseminate our documentary heritage and, on the other hand, their activity in charge of the administrative archives facilitates administrative management, becoming the indispensable tool to ensure access to information and promoting the transparency of the organisations.

The functions of the Museum Conservatives are those related to the acquisition, conservation, documentation, research, exhibition and dissemination of collections, as well as those related to the institution in terms of management and planning.

In order to participate in the selective process, applicants must have the title of Bachelor, Graduate, Engineer or Architect.

According to the last call, the selective process for both the “archives” section and the “libraries” section will consist of four exercises, their structure being different. Further information here.

Subsequently, applicants who pass the process will conduct a selective course will be organized by the General Direction of the Book and Promotion of Reading and will have as primary objective the acquisition of knowledge and skills in order to specifically prepare the candidates for the exercise of the functions of the Body called.
