Launch of the Single Digital Gateway integrated into the web portal "Your Europe"

14/12/2020

In order to facilitate movements and operations in other EU countries and to obtain information on the rules governing the different areas or on the steps necessary to carry out the procedures required, the European Parliament and the Council adopted a Regulation establishing a Single Digital Gateway.

Practical advice on issues relating to residence, education, family, health care or consumer rights will be provided through the Your Europe portal. In a second phase, which will culminate in the period of 3 years, in 2023, they will be able to carry out administrative procedures online in the different states of the European Union.

The new portal will help to reduce administrative burdens. As a general rule, it will apply the ‘one time’ principle, so that citizens and businesses do not have to re-supply the same information to public administrations.

Users who access the Gateway will have at their disposal an easy-to-use valuation tool, which will allow them to make anonymous comments about the quality and availability of the services provided through the Gateway and the information available in it. In this way, the degree of user satisfaction with the services provided will be known.

All European public administrations have been working closely together and working closely on this project to meet the launch date of the Single Digital Gateway and take a step forward in the effective development of the European internal market.

In this first phase, focused on the pillar of information of the Pasarela, in Spain the work of editing the contents included in the 160 pages of the web portal Point of General Access of the General Administration of the State has been coordinated.
