The Ministry of Industry, Tourism and Energy resolves the auction in the 2.6 GHz band

On July 25, 2014, Order IET/135/2014, of July 15, 2014, was published in the BOE, which resolves the public economic auction for the granting of concessions of private use of radio public domain in the 2.6 GHz band.

This measure was a commitment made in the Digital Agenda for Spain that will help meet the objectives relating to the promotion of the deployment of ultra-fast broadband access infrastructures.

The auction ended on May 30, 2014, after two rounds. Subsequently, the successful bidders have had to provide the documentation that proves compliance with the requirements of the specifications of administrative clauses and technical prescriptions, approved by Order IET/173/2014, of February 6.

The total amount to be collected for the concessions to be awarded in the auction process amounts to € 3,447,872.
