The Government strengthens the area of digital transformation with two new Secretariats of State led by Carme Artigas and Roberto Sánchez
The Council of Ministers this morning appointed the new Secretaries of State under the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Digital Transformation. The Secretary of State for Telecommunications and Digital Infrastructures aims to promote connectivity and the deployment of digital infrastructures to place Spain at the forefront of technological transformation. This includes both regulation and coordination with European and international programs to promote the standardization, standardization and certification of telecommunications and digital infrastructures that facilitate their deployment.
Among the challenges of this Secretary of State is to free up the necessary radio space before June 30 of this year for the development of the new 5G networks in Spain and proceed to its reallocation by auction, as well as guarantee a quality connectivity so that all citizens can achieve the benefits of 5G technology.
