Madrid, November 15, 2024.- The Ministry for Digital Transformation and Public Service has been awarded the 2024 Cermi.es prize in its XXIII edition, in the category of Labor Inclusion. Specifically, the jury has awarded the Ministry for the approval of Royal Decree-Law 6/2023, which raises to 10% the percentage of public employment places in the General Administration of the State, called to be covered by people with disabilities. This distinction has been given to Minister Óscar López by the president of CERMI, Luis Cayo Pérez Bueno, in an act in which the minister has highlighted that Spain has gone from offering six places for people with disabilities in the Public Employment Offer of 2012 to more than 3,000 at present.

The Minister has also referred to the preparation of a new ministerial order to improve the selective processes for persons with disabilities, a rule that establishes general criteria to facilitate such access to public employment, improving the adaptation of means and times in the selective tests. The project received over 300 contributions during the public consultation.
