Law 13/2011, of 27 May, on the regulation of gambling, establishes the legal framework for the activities of exploitation and management of games at state level and, in particular, those games that are practiced through electronic, computer, telematic and interactive channels and in which the face-to-face media have an accessory character.
For their part, the operators of electronic communications services have requested the attribution of specific and differentiated numbering resources for this type of contest, in order that the client can have an accurate approximation both of the service he is using and of the applicable final price.
Given the different nature and purposes of the gaming activities contemplated in Law 13/2011, regulating the game, with respect to additional rating services based on the sending of messages that are currently provided as established in Order ITC/308/2008, it is considered necessary to allocate specific numbering resources for the game modality of the contest type, within the different ranges attributed in it.
