Public consultation for the 2026 update of the Digital Decade’s national roadmap
Date of publication: 07/20/2026
Deadline: until September 18, 2026 at 23:59
Context
The Digital Decade is the strategic framework of the European Union to guide the digital transformation until 2030. Within this framework, the Member States draw up and update their national road maps taking into account the evolution of the indicators, the recommendations of the European Commission and the emerging priorities.
The purpose of this public consultation is to gather general assessments, observations and elements of context that may contribute to the updating of 2026 of the national road map of the Digital Decade, with the horizon 2030.
The update will start from the national road map already presented, the European Commission’s 2026 report on the state of the Digital Decade, the recommendations addressed to Spain and the evolution of the indicators.
In particular, participating individuals and entities are invited to provide input on relevant priorities, barriers or challenges, areas where public action should be strengthened, and contextual elements that may be useful for national planning up to 2030.
The consultation is not a call for projects or a procedure for allocating funding. The contributions received will be analysed within the framework of the process of updating the national road map, without their presentation necessarily implying their incorporation into the final document. If a submission contains confidential information that should not be published, it must be expressly stated and sufficiently substantiated.
Presentation of contributions and deadline
The public consultation will be open from 20 July to 18 September 2026 at 23:59, inclusive. During this period, all interested parties can submit their contributions.
