The State Secretariat for Telecommunications and Digital Infrastructures (SETELECO) submits to all interested parties for consultation the existence of demand for complementary terrestrial component networks (CGCs) associated to a mobile satellite system operating both in the same portion of spectrum, the services that would be provided, the conditions of use of the spectrum in that case, as well as a potential authorization of this type of network of CGCs in a specific band.
In this sense, this public consultation on potential deployments of complementary ground components of mobile satellite systems, aims to gather the contributions of satellite operators, telecommunications operators, manufacturers, industries, sectoral associations, and other interested actors, to have an updated view of the existing demand for the deployment of this type of components, services/applications that would be provided, as well as aspects to consider in the case of contemplating this option in bands with allocations to mobile satellite service and attribution to the associated services (mobile satellite service and mobile service), and in particular it consults on the possible conditions of use of CGCs of the mobile satellite system operating in band 245-2500 in Spain.
