The Secretary of State for Telecommunications and Digital Infrastructures submits to all interested parties (Operators, Public Administrations, National Commission for Markets and Competition and other agents) the results of the detailed study of the coverage of existing ultra-fast broadband networks or with credible plans for their provision in the next three years, which is concretized in the preliminary identification of areas in which there is no broadband coverage that provides the user with more than 100 Mbps of download under conditions of maximum demand.
The objective of the consultation is to consolidate this preliminary identification in order to obtain the definitive map of the areas in which, according to the State aid regulations, it is possible to grant public aid during the next twelve months for the realization of projects of extension of the coverage of ultra-fast broadband networks within the framework of the call for 2024 of the UNICO-Broadband program.
To facilitate the location and analysis of the zones, files of geographical layers are provided in shape and filegdb format that make possible their treatment any georeferenced information system (GIS). Likewise, a cartographic viewer is available in the following link.
