Draft legislative or regulatory standard to regulate the fire-reaction characteristics of telecommunication cables to be used in building facades, as well as inside any building types not covered by specific ICT standards and those relating to deployments of end sections of ultra-fast access networks.
Article 133.1 of Law 39/2015, of 1 October, on the Common Administrative Procedure of the Public Administrations and article 26.2 of Law 50/1997, of 27 November, of the Government establish that prior to the elaboration of the draft or preliminary draft law or regulation, a public consultation will be held, through the web portal of the competent Administration in which the opinion of the subjects and the most representative organizations potentially affected by the future rule will be sought.
In application of both legal precepts, the present prior public consultation is initiated, with the aim of elaborating a draft legal or regulatory norm relating to regulating the fire-reaction characteristics of telecommunications cables to be used in the facades of buildings, as well as inside any type of buildings to which the specific regulations on ICT and the deployment of end sections of ultra-fast access networks do not apply, so that any subject, person or interested party can give their opinions or present the comments and documents that they deem appropriate.
Regulatory initiative consisting of overcoming the lack of specific regulations on the reaction to fire applicable to the telecommunications cables used, both in the lines on the façades of any type of buildings, and in the interior installations in buildings not included within the scope of the ICT regulations or the current regulatory development relating to the end sections of ultra-fast access networks.
