Since 22 January, Navarre’s concerted choice mutualists have been able to obtain the electronic prescription of MUFACE (SIREM) and access dispensing at the pharmacy offices of the Foral Community.
Thanks to the implementation of this Electronic Prescription System, the 7,515 mutualists in Navarre can get their prescriptions and buy the corresponding medicines only using their health insurance card. The electronic prescription service includes visas and should therefore no longer be carried out, with some exceptions, at the MUFACE offices.
In order to activate the electronic prescription, the mutualist group of agreed option of Navarra can already go to the doctors of the Medical School of Navarra (IMQN) to activate the digital prescription.
From that date they have 10 days to collect the product in their pharmacy office, presenting the new IMQ Navarra card that they received in November. If they do not do so within a period of time, the prescription will become inactive and the medicine will no longer be available.
The electronic prescription is a differential factor in the quality of care, as it guarantees the rationality of the use of medicines, their traceability and their safety.
For MUFACE, as a public body obliged to monitor the rational use of medicines, the electronic prescription is a guarantee of traceability and safety, while an essential objective.
