Lucía, PhD in Fisica, tells us the importance of industrial property rights in the exploitation of the results of the research and development projects of the companies, as well as that in the profitability of the investment of the companies in the projects they undertake. The Spanish Patent and Trademark Office (OEPM) is an autonomous body of the General Government of the State that promotes and supports technological and economic development by granting legal protection to the various forms of industrial property through the granting of patents and utility models (inventions); industrial designs (form creations); trademarks and trade names (distinguishing signs) and titles for the protection of topographies of semiconductive products.
