On 19 September, MUFACE Director-General Myriam Pallarés opened working days with the Portuguese Administration in Lisbon under the EU Leadership Exchange Programme.
This exchange project serves to explore new avenues of collaboration between the two countries and to deepen the understanding of the model of administrative mutualism represented by MUFACE.
On the Spanish side, interest has been shown in knowing the management of the health care system for employees and retirees of the Portuguese state, carried out by the agency Assistência na Doença aos Servers do Estado (ADSE); the management of the social services to public employees carried out by the agency Serviços Sociais da Recruação Pública (SSAP) and the model of institutional governance and recruitment
For the Portuguese side, those responsible for the administration have taken an interest in deepening the MUFACE model: the health concert and its funding system. Likewise, they have also shown interest in knowing the model of social benefits and governing bodies of MUFACE. To this end, the Portuguese delegation will travel to Madrid in a second phase of the project where they will be received by those responsible for the Mutuality.
