On 24 March, a meeting took place between representatives of MUFACE and the General Council of Pharmaceutical Colleges to advance the work of implementing the concerted electronic prescription of the Mutuality in this community. In this way, Asturias becomes the second autonomous community of Spain to incorporate the concerted electronic recipe for MUFACE mutualists, once successfully implemented in Cantabria.
During the meeting, the key aspects for the implementation of the concerted electronic prescription have been addressed, so that mutualists who choose this option can withdraw their medicines by electronic prescription at one of the 454 Asturian pharmacies.
Asturias thus joins Cantabria in the incorporation of the concerted electronic recipe. Since its inception in May 2020, a total of 297,003 prescriptions have been made to MUFACE mutualists who have opted for concerted healthcare. After the consolidation of this pilotage carried out in Cantabria, the MUFACE electronic recipe begins to be extended to the rest of the autonomous communities for this type of assistance, with Asturias being the next community to join the project.
On the other hand, the electronic prescription of MUFACE from mutualists benefiting from the public health care option is active in all the autonomous communities, except in Ceuta and Melilla, and is interoperable in 15 autonomous communities. Se benefician de la receta electrónica pública un total de 383.328 mutualistas.
