Last Friday, 4 February, the public service update for the month of January 2022 was published. The most notable news in this issue has been the publication of the Statistical Staff Bulletin at the service of the Public Administrations with data updated as of July 2021. This bulletin contains the number of public employees as of July 2021, which is 2,728,749. Of these, over half (59.54%) serve in the public sector of the Autonomous Communities, followed by 21.53% in the public sector of the Local Government and 18.92% in the public sector of the State.

Other noteworthy topics are on the INAP website, where they provide support material for the preparation of competitions, as well as a timetable for the selection processes to be convened by 2022.

Alongside this, relevant actions have been included within the Directorate-General for Civil Service, Directorate-General for Public Governance, MUFACE, INAP and at international level.
