The Council of Ministers adopted the Royal Decree-Law adopting urgent measures in the field of energy for the promotion of electric mobility, self-consumption and the deployment of renewable energies, including an Extraordinary Public Employment Offer for the State Public Employment Service (SEPE).
Under the rule, this body will be strengthened with 926 new posts, which are divided as follows: 192 belong to the State Civil Administration Management Body; and 734 to the State Administration General Administrative Body. This EPO seeks to strengthen the quality of services provided by the agency, in line with the priority given by the Government to employment policies and with the reforms undertaken to modernize the public administration.
This is an increase of more than 10% in the strength of the SEPE as, on 28 September 2021, the SEPE employed 8,214 people. In addition to this extraordinary offer, in 2021, 373 people from the Public Employment Offer have been incorporated into the SEPE, in addition to 250 people. As a result, the overall staffing level would have been nearly 20%.
This extraordinary job offer does not replace, but is in addition, the award of vacancies to the SEPE by Ordinary Public Employment Offer for the current year. This avoids the application of the limitations regarding the replenishment rate that were reflected in the State General Budgets for 2021.
