MUFACE General Council

01/07/2021

The Secretary of State for Territorial Policy and Civil Service, Victor Francos, has chaired the second General Council of MUFACE in 2021 with the Director-General of the Mutuality, Myriam Pallarés.

The Secretary of State has shown the strength of MUFACE, as a body that ensures mutualists access to health and pharmaceutical services under the same conditions as the rest of the National Health System.

In addition, MUFACE’s 2020 report has been presented for approval by the Council, in which Víctor Francos highlighted “the enormous effort made by the workers of the Mutuality during this year so difficult for everyone, both personally and at work, ensuring at all times that the attention to the mutualists continues to be given with the greatest guarantees”.

Together with the Report, the document with the 92 measures taken by the Mutuality during the past financial year to address the critical situation generated by the COVID-19 pandemic has also been presented.

The Council has also been informed of the progress of the coronavirus vaccination campaign, of which the Secretary of State has highlighted the important work carried out by the Mutuality Association, appreciating positively the Mutuality's data update campaign.

Another topic addressed at the meeting was that of the new MUFACE strategic plan for the years 2021-2023, from which a four-monthly follow-up is planned in order to analyse the degree of compliance with all commitments.

The Plan provides for the adoption of the new Statute for the Autonomous Body of MUFACE, whose project was approved by the General Council yesterday. The Statute aims to adapt the organisational rule of mutual society to the new administrative laws and to the new realities of management and operation of the body.
