Workshop on Measures to Promote Access to Public Employment for Persons with Disabilities

In the framework of the Knowledge Transfer, Exchange and Management Plan for the Development of Spanish Cooperation in Latin America and the Caribbean (INTERCOONECTA), the National Institute of Public Administration (INAP) in collaboration with the Ibero-American Organization of Social Security (OISS), the Ibero-American Social Training Group (ONCE)

In recent years, Ibero-American governments have been implementing public policies aimed at promoting the social and labor inclusion of people with disabilities. Progress in access to public employment is important, and many of them now have strategies and action plans in this area, yet difficulties persist.

The aim of the workshop is to analyse the situation of access to public employment for people with disabilities in the region, as well as the subsequent performance of the region, to identify weaknesses in current access systems, to exchange successful experiences and to identify improvement actions to facilitate the implementation of measures to increase access to public employment for people with disabilities in the region.

It is aimed at the management, pre-management and/or technical staff of the public administrations at national level with competence in public policies for access to public employment; of the public administrations with competence in the field of people with disabilities and of social organizations in the field of disability, with more than two years of experience in this sector, and that they occupy positions with a certain level of responsibility in their organization.

The workshop consists of five modules and will be developed in the Virtual Classroom from 15 June to 21 July, access to the preliminary agenda. The final product will be the development of a Catalogue of measures to promote access for people with disabilities to public employment.
