Open Administration Week; May 18, 2021

On the occasion of the Open Administration Week today Tuesday, May 18, the “Observatory of Good Local Government and Experiences of Transparency” organized by the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces (FEMP) is held.

It starts at 12:30 with the inauguration by D. Carlos Daniel Casares Díaz, Secretary General of the FEMP, D. Carlos González Serna, Mayor of Elche and President of the NETWORK of local entities for the Transparency and Citizen Participation of the FEMP and D. Olivié Bayón Céspedes, Director General

Next, with the participation of various rapporteurs, two sessions will take place, the first on the “Experience of Transparency in the Local World” and the second on the “Observatory of Good Local Government”.

The closure will be attended by Mrs. Dña. Judit Flórez Paredes, Director-General of the Legal Services and Territorial Coordination of the FEMP and D. Víctor Francos Díaz, Secretary of State for Territorial Policy and Civil Service.

Open Administration Week is a global initiative driven by the Open Government Alliance (Open Gov Week), to be held from 17 to 21 May 2021. Its main objective is to bring public administrations closer to citizenship and the theme proposed for this year by the Alliance focuses on the reconstruction of administrations, institutions and societies, so that they are more transparent, responsible, participatory and inclusive.
