Appointment of career officials of the Corps of Technical Engineers for Agricultural Specialties

The Official Gazette of the State of April 6 published the Resolution of March 29, 2021, appointing career officials of the Corps of Technical Engineers of Agricultural Specialties.

The Corps of Technical Engineers in Agricultural Specialties is a special body of the General Administration of the State attached to the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food. This is opposition from Subgroup A2.

This profession was regulated as an eminently technical career and with the initial objective of providing the administrative services of the State with personnel expert in the use of the new agricultural and agri-food technologies.

This start has marked the profession by giving it a marked public character within the bodies of officials of the Administration, currently with powers in different areas of the agricultural field:

  • Management of agricultural holdings
  • Buildings and irrigation
  • Regional planning and environment
  • Agricultural and food industries
  • Assessment and topography

In order to participate in the selective process, applicants must have the title of Agricultural Technical Engineer or equivalent, or of the degree that enables them to exercise this regulated profession according to the regulations in force.

The selective process consists of an opposition of three mandatory and eliminatory exercises and a fourth voluntary exercise.

Compulsory exercises:

  • Answer a test questionnaire in writing.
  • To develop two or more items on the agenda in writing, which were subsequently read in public before the Court.
  • To develop in writing a practical case which will be subsequently read in a public hearing before the Court.

The voluntary exercise consists of a non-elimination test in English or French.

Subsequently, applicants who pass the process will take a selective course.
