ENAIRE, a public business entity responsible for managing air navigation in Spain, and the Spanish Committee of Representatives of People with Disabilities (CERMI), ONCE Foundation, Inserta Trabajo and the Spanish Business Federation of Associations of Employment Centres (FEACEM) recently signed an agreement with the aim of promoting initiatives aimed at promoting the employment of people with disabilities.
This agreement follows the general protocol signed by these entities in January 2019 aimed at improving the guarantees of the rights and opportunities of persons with disabilities and their families. It provided for the establishment of specific conventions reflecting the size and scope of cooperation.
The agreement was signed by the director-general of ENAIRE, Ángel Luis Arias; the president of CERMI, Luis Cayo Pérez Bueno; the executive vice-president of ONCE Foundation; Alberto Durán; the general secretary of Inserta Trabajo, Virginia Carcedo and the president of FEACEM, Daniel-Aníbal García.
The aim of the agreement is the joint and shared development of actions to promote knowledge of disability, the inclusion of people with disabilities in public employment, as well as the awareness of disability among public employees in the aviation sector.
In order to promote the employment of people with disabilities, ENAIRE and ONCE Foundation, through its entity Inserta Trabajo, will collaborate to analyze the jobs offered by the public business entity, with the aim of offering the profiles that best fit their needs.
In addition, FEACEM and ENAIRE will collaborate in the study and identification of opportunities that facilitate the procurement of goods and services to Special Employment Centres by public entities.
As regards raising awareness of the ENAIRE staff towards disabled groups covered by the convention, the company, in collaboration with the ONCE Foundation, will organise training and staff awareness activities such as conferences, workshops and events.
In addition, CERMI and ENAIRE will carry out a study on “Potential of the aeronautical industry for the inclusion of people with disabilities in the labour market”, the first on this subject, which will be presented in the near future.
Inserta’s participation in this convention is part of the operational programmes for Social Inclusion and the Social Economy (Poises) and Youth Employment (POEJ), which is being developed by the ONCE Foundation through Inserta, with the co-financing of the European Social Fund and the Youth Employment Initiative, to increase the training and employment of people with disabilities.
