The Ministry of Territorial Policy and Civil Service, through the General Secretariat for Civil Service, has sent the ministerial departments and their public bodies a supplementary instruction to that sent on Saturday, January 9, in the face of the adverse weather situation caused by the cold wave after the Filomena storm.

The Ministry of Territorial Policy and Civil Service in the new instruction recommends that the ministerial departments and centres of their dependants, since 13 January, take the necessary measures to ensure that, in all affected localities, public employees are gradually and progressively and flexibly incorporated into the workplaces, as circumstances permit.

In addition, the instruction provides that it will be made easier for employees and public employees who so require to use telecommuting until day 17 inclusive, except in cases where the face-to-face working formula is essential for the maintenance of essential public services to the public.

On Monday, 18 January, the corresponding arrangements for providing the service will be recovered.
